About Gemma
I am a certified Executive coach (Henley Business School) with almost 15 years leadership experience working for global Tech companies and more recently in the Utilities sector.

I get it, it isn't easier balancing being a successful senior female leader with being a great mum and wife, Over the last 15 years, I've experienced the immense emotional roller coaster it brings.

I've also experienced a life changing cancer diagnosis at 38, when I had to rebuild my shattered confidence when I returned to my leadership position.
Having my life flashed before me, forced me to REALLY reflect on what I wanted from life and I decided I wanted to find a role and an organisation where I could be my authentic self and lead my authentic way.
However, nothing prepared me for being "slam dunked" into surgical menopause at 42. From insomnia, board room brain fog, embarrassing hot flushes leading to anxiety overthinking I just wasn't good enough in a senior role anymore.
BUT...
I'm living proof, you can thrive as a professional, woman wonderful mum and wife even when Menopause when hits yo without being superwoman!.

Like me, you have worked hard to get where you are today, you still have so much more in you. From an upwards move, sideways step, to something completely different or just to be the best you can in current role.

I will help and support you to BELIEVE, to EMPOWER and to THRIVE!

My personal approach to coaching
Choosing a coach is a very personal decision and like any relationship, the chemistry needs to be right.
My personal style of coaching is to coach the human and not the process.

Our journey together will start with a chemistry session, where we focus on getting to know one another and contract around what to expect including what coaching is and what it isn’t, confidentiality, previous experiences with coaching and any initial goals / themes the client would like to focus on and how we will best work in partnership.
By using a person centred approach, I will focus on the person in front of me rather than the process. I will work in partnership to help the client identify their underlying beliefs, getting to the heart of this, how it is holding them back and then change their internal narrative from inner critic to inner coach.
You will come away from our sessions with huge amounts of self-awareness and how they can use this to be at their best, setting themselves up for success.
To do this I will use an integrated approach of tools incorporating evidence based approaches such Grow, Cognitive Behaviour coaching, solution-based coaching, systemic coaching, motivational interviews and Gestalt.
At the end of each session, I will ask for feedback so I can continuously improve for my clients. For clients who undertake multiple sessions, at the end of every third session, I will incorporate a reflection of the sessions so far, in terms of what the you have learnt about yourself over the sessions, how this has changed, progress towards your goal and how our partnership is working.
As our group of sessions come to an end, we will partner to reflect on what you have learnt about yourself and your achievements during our time together as well as any feedback for myself so I can continue to improve my coaching practise.

I will do this by being my authentic self, the human coach.
